I get how the connotation of words can come of so negative, like acid, meant to burn someone’s pride, confidence and spirit. Additionally when you said excuses I was transported back in time to my middle school years when one of my hardest teachers ,Ms. Crenshaw would frequently recite this quote
"Excuses excuses are tools of the incompotent, those who use them often amount to nothing and build monuments to nowhere"

I reckon where I come from “nappy” isn’t a bad word, in fact it’s quite the opposite. To me nappy means unmistakably black, that means your mama, your mama’s mama, and her mama before her are the beneficiaries of melanated beauteousness stretching back generations that is constantly under threat to be phased out with each passing generation. Nappy means we’re of similar tribe, there’s familiarity between you and I ,”my nigga”
When I say I want to get in that nappy pussy Im not speaking negatively on it, in fact I’m not speaking on it at all, I don’t just approach a beautiful black woman and say Hey baby lemme, digout that nappy dugout” like it’s the 1970s, I’m a little more reserved than that and alot more respectful.

To further drive home my point home there are other words that meant something bad in regards to black folk. I hear so many women calling themselves bitch that it’s surprising to think the word nappy would cause someone to turn a face.
