I think so. I am quite isolated and I always have been.
So I wouldn't call myself a social media success story because I I wasn't really even social online either.

Sometimes even attempting to connect with people can be difficult because of how glued to their phones and married to their tribes they are. It's especially difficult when everybody is encapsulated in an impenetrable bubble All of this technology has made it so people have no need or desired to step outside of that bubble.

I also work with children and see the effects that it's having on the younger generation. At least I can remember a time And my youth leading into adolescence without smartphones and even before MySpace. And I can even remember world pre-911

The children are really suffering because they have no such recollection. They have no litmus test for what is normal and what should be appropriate for communication. Our technology is improving but we as creatures that rely on being social are declining rapidly
